The Denon AVR-3311CI 7.2 Channel A/V Receiver: Premium Technology and Performance gets Networked. The new AVR-3311CI is a technological tour de force, designed for consumers wanting to network their AV system. It’s also one the first to come equipped with HDMI 1.4a connectivity, including 3D pass-through (Broadcast and Blu-ray), along with Audio Return Channel. Ethernet connectivity opens up your AV system to host of exciting capabilities like audio and jpeg photo streaming via as well as hundreds of Internet radio stations. Pandora is supported along with subscription music services like Rhapsody and Napster. Flickr photo streaming is also featured. Understanding HDMI

The HDMI standard was created by many of the leading manufacturers, including Panasonic, Hitachi, Philips, Sony, Thomson (RCA), Toshiba and Silicon Image. HDMI is not just used in video transmission, but has also integrated multi-channel audio.
A lot of people out there to find all these new "options", with the HD technology is very confusing (such as Deep Color, DVD-Audio) is reached. So below is a brief guide to some of the options that are available below.

Deep Color:This in simple words, you can go from a high-definition display television with millions of colors to billions of colors display. It also increases the contrast ratio, so that more shades of gray between black and white. Lines of color bands are completely eliminated, and that gives viewers unprecedented color accuracy and vibrancy of the smooth transitions and classification of color and sound.

How much better is 1080p 720p: Technically, it is 225%. The soundThe quality is supported by an additional 50% with the new totally lossless, bit-for-bit Dolby TrueHD and DTS more HD Master multichannel audio content.

xvYCC / xv Colour. This is a new standard introduced with HDMI 1.3 (IEC 61966-2-4, better known as xvYCC, the term stands for "Extended YCC Colorimetry for surveillance" This standard has been known the brand name "xvColor"). This new standard is full color screen 1.8 times more, the former standard, so that a pleasantVisual experience.

DVD-Audio: The digital format allows a large number of audio channels from each of the 5.1-channel surround sound. The sound quality of DVD-Audio disc can be significantly higher than that of a standard audio CD. DVD-Audio supports color depths up to 24-bit and sample rates up to 192 kHz, CD audio can reach only 16-bit and 44.1 kHz.
